Co Curricular Activities at The Grange Institution

There is no “perfect” Co‑Curricular Activities (CCAs). The best choice is one that helps your child feel engaged, build confidence and learn through experience

At The Grange Institution (TGI), learning does not always stop when the school day ends. Our CCAs are designed to complement classroom learning, nurturing confidence, curiosity, and character in every child.

In a boutique international school environment, CCAs are not about filling schedules. They are about giving each child the space to explore interests meaningfully and discover new skills.

Students build coordination, focus, and confidence through table tennis.

Why Co‑Curricular Activities are Important

Research and school experience consistently show that well‑designed CCAs help children develop far beyond academics.

Through CCAs, students learn to:

  • Build confidence and resilience
  • Work collaboratively with others
  • Explore interests and discover strengths
  • Develop discipline, creativity, and perseverance
  • Improve wellbeing through balanced routines

At The Grange, programmes are intentional, age‑appropriate, and personal. TGI offers a curated selection of 9 different CCAs, each chosen to support different dimensions of a child’s development.

Curated CCAs at The Grange are designed to support every student’s development.

K‑Pop Dance

A high‑energy programme that builds rhythm, coordination, confidence, and self‑expression. Students develop stage presence while working as a team in a fun and supportive environment.

Football

Focused on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Sessions emphasise fundamentals, fair play, and enjoyment, rather than early specialisation.

Football is part of a curated selection of nine CCAs at The Grange, each supporting a different dimension of a child’s development.

Coding

Students learn computational thinking, problem‑solving, and basic programming skills. Coding helps develop logical thinking and creativity—essential skills for the digital future.

Gymnastics

Gymnastics builds balance, strength, flexibility, and body awareness. It supports physical confidence and coordination, especially in younger learners.

Badminton

Badminton develops agility, stamina, and strategic instincts. It is accessible for beginners and engaging for students ready to challenge themselves.

Digital Club

Aligned with modern literacy, students explore digital tools, media creation, and responsible technology use. The focus is on creativity and awareness, not just screen time.

Table Tennis

A fast‑paced activity that improves reflexes, focus, and hand‑eye coordination. Table tennis also teaches patience, respect, and strategic thinking.

Art & Media

Students explore visual arts, creativity, and storytelling. The programme encourages self‑expression, experimentation, and confidence in sharing ideas.

Brainbox

Designed to strengthen thinking skills, logic, memory, and problem‑solving. Children learn to enjoy mental challenges in a supportive, playful environment.

Solving the Rubik’s Cube is one of the many elements in the Brain Box CCA, helping students develop logical thinking, problem‑solving, and persistence.

CCAs as Part of a Balanced Education

CCAs are integrated into our philosophy of holistic, child‑centred education.

We believe children thrive when they:

  • Feel safe trying new things
  • Are not over‑scheduled
  • Experience both structure and freedom
  • Develop confidence at their own pace
Our CCAs are designed so children can explore new skills without pressure, balancing structure with freedom as confidence develops.

If you would like to learn more about our CCAs or explore how they support your child’s growth, we warmly invite you to visit our campus or speak with our admissions team.
