Coding with The Young Maker
Micro:bit
Students will be introduced to the micro:bit, a pocket-sized programmable device that integrates with the Scratch platform to power interactive game experiences. Running across Terms 3 & 4, this coding programme builds foundational skills in hardware–software integration, enabling students to connect physical inputs from the micro:bit to their own Scratch-created projects.

HOW WILL IT BE CONDUCTED
Our Learning Approach
- A structured, age-appropriate coding curriculum designed to support each learner’s development, built around progressive exploration of hardware–software integration and foundational programming skills using the micro:bit and Scratch.
- Sessions are conducted at The Grange's campus
- Sessions designed to be fun, engaging, and development-focused
- Progressive pathway, from starting in Term 3, to beginner level in Term 4
- Term-based programme aligned with the school calendar
