A Spectacular Sports Day at The Grange Institution’s New Sports Field

This year’s Sports Day at The Grange Institution was nothing short of extraordinary. Held for the first time at our brand-new sports field laid with high-grade synthetic turf – featuring a 7-a-side football pitch and a 50m dash track – the event marked a milestone in our boutique school’s journey towards holistic education, and grooming healthy, sporting students.

With over 250 children and families in attendance, the atmosphere was electric with excitement and anticipation. Students competed in their respective Houses – Hornbill, Otter, and Pangolin. The day was packed with races, tele-matches, and unforgettable moments of sportsmanship. There were plenty of cheers as students, parents, and teachers played their part in supporting our competing students.

There were over 30 competitive events, including 50m and 100m dash, relay race, football, and the highly-anticipated parents tug-of war

One of the highlights of the day was the House Football Finals, where our Hornbill and Otter Houses showcased their skills and teamwork in a spirited football match that ended in tight 4-3 win to the Otter House. We were also honoured to have Mr. Juanjo Varela, Technical Director, and Mr. Jon Low, Senior Manager from the Real Madrid Foundation Football School Singapore, who graced the event with their presence. Their handshake and cheers meant the world to the budding footballers. They also presented the runner-up and champion medals to the finalists.

This Sports Day was more than just a series of events – it was a celebration of our vibrant school community, our commitment to sports, and the joy of coming together to cheer each other on. We’re incredibly proud of all our students and grateful to the families, staff, and special guests who made the day so memorable.
