Teacher-led activities will help students refine their art techniques, develop their own artistic voice, and build their critical thinking skills. Art values children’s individuality and encourages children to express their creativity and innovation, and provide a safe venue to express their wonderings and ideas. This innovation and originality help children learn to form mental images to solve problems. Art helps children develop valuable life and career skills that carry over their education and throughout their lives.
Cross-stitch is a form of sewing. It is a popular form of counted-thread embroidery in which X-shaped stitches are worked in a tiled pattern to form a pattern or a picture. The stitcher counts the threads on a piece of evenweave fabric in each direction so that the stitches are of uniform size and appearance.
Learning to work cross stitch is good for developing a child’s concentration, resilience and manual dexterity. There is a great sense of achievement upon the completion of a project.
