Co-curricular Activities fosters our students’ development through our Cre8tors-in-Action© learning outcomes. These experiences are led by qualified instructors, and the programmes are curated by the school to ensure that they provide a great balance of learning and fun!
Offerings in Semester 1, 2023
Gymnastics
About the Programme: The JACPA Foundation has been working with kids since 1972 with the goal of fostering an atmosphere where every kid may grow, learn, and develop to their full potential without fear. The gymnastics programme holistically develops a child’s balance, strength, coordination, flexibility, agility and perseverance. This overall development of the motor skills will contribute to a child’s confidence and body control, which becomes a good foundation whenever the child chooses to pursue other sports in the future.
About the Coach: Coach Motoyama has been coaching over 10 years, actively involved in teaching young children, directing concerts and showcases, and performing with famous Japanese and overseas artistes on television and stages.
Taekwondo
About the Programme: ILDO nurtures maturity, cultivates essential principles, and strives to improve physical fitness for young learners. Students will develop a love for Taekwondo with a good understanding of the principles of maturity, self-control and self-awareness. ILDO Taekwondo is an officially registered school under STF (Singapore Taekwondo Federation) & KUKKIWON. Singapore Taekwondo Federation (STF) is Singapore’s national governing body for Taekwondo. It is affiliated with World Taekwondo (WT) and Singapore National Olympic Council (SNOC).
Note: An additional payment is required for a set of uniform (Dobok) for students participating in Taekwondo.

About the Coach: Master Daniel Kim is the Principal of ILDO Taekwondo. He is an experienced Taekwondo instructor, coaching aspiring students across various ages, preparing them for grading tests and competitions. Due to popular demand, The Grange welcomes Master Kim back for another semester.
Dance (Kpop)
About the Programme: Distinct Creative Arts (DCA) is one of Singapore’s leading dance studios that uses dance as a tool to engage, empower and educate young children. DCA encourages young children to use dance as a means of experimentation and discovery of alternative solutions to challenges. DCA boasts several honors and prizes from dance festivals and competitions. In addition to collaboration and coordination, dance fosters creativity and self-confidence.
*Students will participate in a professional music video filming at the end of the CCA. Parents will receive a complimentary copy of the video.
About the Coach: Kayte Willis is a veteran dancer and instructor in the street dance scene. She has taught locally and internationally in Australia, the UK, China and the S.E.A region. She has been invited to judge various dance competitions such as Super 24, Remix Dance Comp and the Chingay Dance Competition.
Today, she is the co-founder of TURNT UP as well as AK.Kreates – a company that focuses on community platforms for the youth dance community.
Badminton
About the Programme: SweatINC is a leading provider of kids development programmes, with programs designed to develop life skills through power of sports and physical activity. Badminton develops hand-eye coordination and physiological functions – important to a growing child through gradual development of physical coordination.
About the Coach: Eugene Han, In his youth as a Badminton player had the liberty of being part of 4 year West zone champion squad(Boon Lay Secondary), SAFSA (CSSCOM) and SIM Badminton. His passion for fitness developed when was in University, resolute on being the best version of himself. There he found his calling in the fields of education. He loved how fitness is more than just on the outlooks but also a training ground to help individuals develop and uncover the very best versions of themselves.
Table Tennis
About the Programme: SweatINC is a leading provider of kids development programmes, with programs designed to develop life skills through power of sports and physical activity. Table Tennis develops hand-eye coordination and physiological functions – important to a growing child through gradual development of physical coordination.
About the Coach: An ex-elementary school teacher before she embarked on her professional journey in education of Table Tennis, Coach Poh relised she has an affinity with kids. “To guide and nurture the next generation”, is her motto. With a wealth of experience and a patient heart, she hopes to raise the standards of Table Tennis in the local scene.
Football
About the Programme: SweatINC is a leading provider of kids development programmes, with programs designed to develop life skills through power of sports and physical activity. One of the, if not the most popular sports globally, football has multiple benefits such as cardiovascular health, limb coordination and muscular strength for growing children.
About the Coach: Coach Arif during his playing years played in the Singapore premier league for 2 years. Since then, he has been coaching for close to 8 years. A passionate coach and dedicated to craft, he strives to use sports to educate and prepare children for life, teaching them important life values like tenacity and teamwork.
Beginners Chess
About the Programme: Crafted for beginners who would like to learn more about chess, this CCA will teach students the basics of chess movement, strategies and sportsmanship. Chess develops Logic, Critical Thinking, and, increases Concentration for growing children. Founded in 1949, Singapore Chess Federation (SCF) is the principal authority over chess events in Singapore. SCF is affiliated with the World Chess Federation and a member of the Singapore National Olympic Council.
*This programme is suitable for students with zero or minimal knowledge of chess. It will not benefit students who are of intermediate level.
About the Coach: Grandmaster Kevin Goh and his team of skilled instructors will guide our beginning chess students through this chess adventure. Kevin is a Singaporean chess player. He has won the Singaporean Chess Championship seven times and has competed for Singapore in the Olympiad since 2004.
